“This Insurgence Of Women”

The latest episode of All Hail To The Pod is an all women Pod. Feminist and socialist activist Cat Boyd is joined by Stella Rooney as they discuss #MeToo, Glasgow’s Equal Pat Strike and the role of feminists in the Scottish independence movement and class struggle.

The show title is taken from a 1913 message of support to English suffragettes from James Connolly, which said: “When the trimmers and the compromisers disavow you, a poor slum bred politician, I raise my hat in thanksgiving that I have lived to see this insurgence of women”.
